I've looked back through my posts but can't find who sent me link to buy this amp board, so I have it , came w/o any instructions and two of the connections are only marked in Chinese. Any help on how to use this as  a CBG amp would be appreciated!

here is where it came from> http://www.ebay.com/itm/131832286247?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&a...

Here is an interesting karioki preamp and reverb board in one.

interesting find there David. certainly has potential. if i can decipher the chinglish i think this can run from 9 v or 12 v. seems to have a volume out and reverb controls and 2 x 1/4"inputs. if you can afford it it is worth a try at $10...closer to $15 AUD for me.

a little research on the PT2399 delay/echo chip gives good reviews ...

Actually, we are probably close to the same currencywise. I am in $CD which has kind of turned into a black hole compared to $US with the price of oil tanking. I will be putting together an order soon. Question: If I go this route, I should probably build a balance control. I understand that is just a pot wired differently. Any idea what size pot I would need?

are you talking about combining the 2 outputs of the preamp board to feed into a mono power amp section? 100k pot with channel 1 on one outside leg and the other channel going to the other outside leg and take the output to the amp from the centre wiper leg through a 47K resistor.

if you use the karaok reverb board from ebay you listed i dont think you need to. from what i can figure out from googling it and reading the amazon listing, the first two pots are mic1 and mic2 volume pots and the third is the delay/reverb control. so you get mixing of two signals at the preamp.

Thanks for this.

OK this is what I have decided to go with. I will build it into my amp enclosure. It is 12V DC so I can use the the same power supply. I should have it this weekend and I will post pics when I start the build

Thanks for the nudge, I had one of these for a while and finally finished it.  Two small Dell computer speakers with guitar jack and aux port.  Sounds good, and (sadly) the speakers stay clean all the way to full volume - which is a fairly modest bedroom level - unless an effects pedal is used.

very nice! i cant seem to get wooden boxes in Brisbane, well not at a reasonable price.

Can't get them here in Canada reliably either. I am just using pine boards glued and screwed with black drywall screws. Looks rustic yet finished at the same time.

Very nice,  what type of amplifier did you use?

Thanks, the amp was just like the one at the top of this discussion.
Did you use a preamp?
