Can echo Keith 66's comments. Good venue, handy parking and I can second the recommendation for Jivans Balti!

Great evening gig with highlights being CBJ and his band, and the extraordinary Dusk Brothers.

BTW Keith 66 if I've got the right guy, I was the bloke who bought your 3-string fretless. Built like a brick outhouse (or should that be a boat) which I really like (some CBGs are too flimsy for me) and lovely growly tone with a bit of dirt on the amp. I'm having a lot of fun with it already!

Many thanks to Chickenbone John for an excellent bash! We didnt know what to expect but great music & loads of CBG's plus thoroughy good people made a winning formula.

Venue was excellent and the Jivans balti house ten yards up the road was superb, Redwings hotel basic but clean.

Count us in for next time!

Black dog moment in my shed, built a really special job with walnut veneered front, best one i have done so far. French polished & going really well, Last coat went badly wrong & i have ballsed it up good & proper. Out with the meths & stripped it back to bare wood. Going to have to start again. Right now i want to shit & stamp in it! Grrr.

Boxstock - if you want to come along and have a play, there will be an all-day open mic session for some informal tunage....12.00 noon onwards, all welcome...and it's free during the day. 10 cigar box guitar makers will be there with their wares..and of course there's the evening gig with the amazing Hollowbelly. The Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton, Saturday 25th February. Thanks for all who have already supported the event by buying their tickets in advance, but you can still rock up on the night and pay on the door....don't be the one who afterwards said " I wish I'd have gone"...bring your guitar and have a drink and good time...it's  not too late

Been scratching my head looking for a bridge for one im finishing off, been down the scrap metal box & lo & behold there was the barrel shroud of an old Colt python replica, milled the side flat & milled a slot in the top, just the job to go with the S&W shell case string anchors, Of for a pint now, Cheers!
