Yeah i love it Andy! Diddley Bows are alot of fun. I really did enjoy the whole build when i did mine. I really need to check out some of the old original artists. Been watching Seasick Steve and Justin Johnson on youtube alot. The latter is really go to watch and listen to.

Well, you could say I'm a diddley bow-er.  I've built a few instruments, but more diddley bows than anything.  They're quicker and easier to build, for one thing.  And I love the kind of music that's played on them, blues, mostly.  I've become a fan of (the late) Lonnie Pitchford, One String Willie and Eddie "One String" Smith.  Great artists!

Welcome to the Nation Greg. Don't worry, you're not the only one who can't play.  Learn a few simple licks and amuse yourself and have fun with your builds.  That's what I have done and now and then I get a "real musician" to play one of mine so I know how good they can sound.  Enjoy the process, it's a great addiction, er...hobby.

Hey everybody and thanks for the acceptance into this community.My name is Greg,and I am in SW Missouri.I am sad to say,musically,I can't carry a tune with a bucket and a wheelbarrow.Yet the idea of the CBG's fascinates me,being an old school crafter,that utilizes reclaiming items to repurpose them into useful and unique pieces of art,furniture,or whatever I can conceive a use for a creation.I have always been envious of musically inclined individuals,so I am hoping that maybe starting to build these creations out of basically nothing,I may find the ability to pick a tune from something I have created.After 60 years in this world,the only instrument I can play is the stereo,and I know the only "stupid" question is the one unasked.Once again thanks for acceptance into this community.

Hi, new builder and player here. After seeing Justin Johnsons video of him playing shovel, I thought yeah of course you can build your own guitar. So now Ive done that, just need to learn to play it now! :)
