Hi Andries! I'd like to clarify better what happened: what i meant was "a little box really very Badass!". The incovencience is that my english sucks and i translate my messages from italian to english using google translate. To say "badass" and "bad" in italian we use the same word, so g translate put "bad" in my phrase instead of "badass" and it caused a complete inversion on what i meant to say. My son explained to me what happened. Thanks for your clarifying answer! Have a nice day! :)
HI Andries, Yep!, a bit over half way to 500, haven't built a 12 string yet!, struggle enough playing 3 strings, but!, have built half a 12 stringer, AGP #90 - a 3x2 String Double Octave CBG, and have also built a Twin Neck, AGP - #104, they’re both on my CBN page somewhere?
Hey Andries, I could go for a 12 string! Had a couple over the years but sold them for some dumb reason... oh well, live and learn! Hope you are doing well, take care! :)
Hello Andries, you seem angry. It was not my intention to belittle or denigrate your work, I know how much time, passion, knowledge and skills are needed to get a cbg efficient and attractive. Small box meant pretty. They are also attentive to the size of the works of others to understand how much influence on acoustics. Big hugs Elio.
Thanks Andries. I've been out in California for about a week for my father's memorial service. He passed away in November at age 96 and was buried in a Military cemetery out there. I'm back now and getting back into my routine. I might have missed a few good things but I'm trying to catch up now.
Just looked at the Blind Joe Reynolds vid and put it into 'Favorites' for a better look later. Seemed good.
Since my recent unemployment (retirement, really), I go to nursing homes and play music. I don't do the usual thing of playing for an 'audience' . I go room to room and ask if they want and old timey song or a Gospel or a blues. I sit and talk a bit. If folks are out in the cafeterias, I go table to table and do the same thing. Lots of folks sing along.
Andries, I participated in past Christmas song collections. I could not come up with a new song to do this year. But I have done some Christmas songs at home and playing out at the nursing homes I visit.
Thanks for your comment sir. No, I'm not the original washboard builder. I'm happy you connected to the music of Mezquital. I call it regional garage music.
Thanks again,
Gene Jaimez

Man, love your builds and videos and songs.,.,seems your having fun over there across the pond.,.,.,14 degrees here today.,,.Happy Merry !!!
Hey Andries. Always a pleasure to watch your videos and hear you play and sing so you're welcome as far as the compliment goes. In my comment I always speak of "silly-o'clock" to mean that time of the night that's way, way past your usual bedtime but you just can't sleep. I'm getting way too many sleepless hours at silly-o'clock lately. If it's not back pain then it's my new favourite annoyance of jumping legs where the nerves twitch that much it lifts the whole leg or contorts at the joints. Awesome fun! Lol. Anyway, enough complaining from me now. Keep delivering the awesomeness, Andries, and I'll be looking forward to the next video from you. Have a great end to the week and weekend. Bear.
Hey Andries, I saw your picture of the neck you are starting. I can't build anything new until I come up with some money. I'm thinking about making some 3 pole humbuckers, not those flat ones, like 2 single coils wired together, with the coils wound and magnetized opposite from each other. All the parts I need for that adds up quick, so maybe after the holidays.
Yes, Andries. You found our modest, but comfortable place. Man, it looks brown and bleak in that photo and some snow around. It is still green and nice here at this time, but that is unusual for this time of year.
There are 2 buildings behind the house. The near one is a garage and the far one is my shop. Just north (back) 2 blocks is a park and then another park where we walk or play disc golf. Heading out here pretty soon for a walk with Linda. Although it seems to early, there are beautiful Christmas lights in the park.
Wayfinder posted some directions on how to get your photos to show up.
This video is the unboxing and the demonstration of a beautiful, six stringer built by Louie Lamanna. Join Louie and I June 15 at the second annual Pittsburg...
