And there it is. Oh and the same guy who is adamant about the superior tone of his maple capped LP proceeds to play nothing but muted Ka-chunks between flurries of arppegiated scales and has never let a note resonate, ever......

What I think is funny is guitarists who swear up and down that tone wood is crucial and they can tell an audible difference between plastic tuner knobs and metal, use $400 vintage Russian Paper-In-Oil tone capacitors... then play their axe through a fuzzbox, distortion pedal, reverb, overdriven tube amp... etc...

But how did it effect the tone Oscar, its all about the tone man........

I once tried staining some maple with Tennessee Whiskey. Then I learned that Grain Spirits were invented to raise the grain during the finishing process at Martin guitars. So I built a still near my woodshop. Seemed like the natural solution to keeping the whole process in house ya know?

Does anyone else hear helicopters? I hate that!

In the empty space in the back of my little amp/speaker combo I keep my polishing rag. It's there just to hide my 80 proof amp lube....
