The 31st Meeting of CBG Minded Michigan'ders, is scheduled for 08 September 2018.

To all interested people who live in Michigan or anywhere else for that matter. Our plans for the 31st meeting are currently being worked on. We will continue to exchange any new info & ideas, as well as hearing some of our guys play. The small jam session during our last meeting was lots of fun. We are continuing to gather at Red Sky Stage in Petoskey, MI, from 1 to 5pm on the 2nd Saturday of each month. I'd like to hear from all of you............My name is Preston J. We decided on 3 basic goals: Learning, Playing and Building but not in any particular order. Our core group grew a little with every meeting. We think that growth will slowly increase. Depending on my work schedule, I'd come up there. It's a bit of a drive for me. I'm in the Detroit Metro area. About 4hrs away. Might be able to get the wife and kids to take a weekend trip though.

I'm down here, just south of Lansing. I'd definitely be interested. It's about a 3.5 hour drive, but with a bit of advance notice, I should be able to make the trip with no problem.

I'd love to meet up with some people who can actually play. I've built a slider and an electric fretted so far, but don't really know how to play them. Could use some pointers.

Will be there with most of my guitars to show' and plan to bring as many local blues players as I can. Maybe you can get C.B. Gitty (Ben) to send you some freebies like cigar box nation stickers and the like.

I got at least one person coming that i had gave a homemade 6 string Bo -diddley style guitar to. He`s the x-country coach for Pellston.

MEETING #2 Hail, Hail, The gang's all Here. Red Sky Stage - November 7th from 1 to 5pm. We'll have Lou (Uncle Lou) Kilpatrick playing his three string Rock & Roll, Preston doing simple melody's on a 4 string, plus building tips and the "Builder / Player of the Month is: Swamp Witch Guitars.
