Well, because of the lack of downloads and the gaps between new episodes Mypodcast.com is shutting down the podcast and deleting the archived shows.  I have struggled with tech problems with them and other free hosting sites. I personally can't afford to pay for a hosting site so i think it is time to let it go. I also believe there is lack of interest from the cigar box guitar community.  I have a few faithful followers who enjoy the show, but I think most folks are more interested in building and selling cbgs than playing them or supporting the musicians who play them.

If you want episodes for yourself I would get to the site and download them before they are gone.

For those of you who want to support cbg music and musicians I encourage you to listen and support Rev. Nix and his live online radio shows devoted to cbg's.

Thanks to all who supported the show, contributed music, and encouraged me along the way.

I am going to send the archived shows and new episodes to Shane to be hosted at www.cigarboxguitar.com .
This is good news! Stay tuned......
Thanks for all your effort. I built my cbg and the amp that goes with it. I play cbg every day. I listen to the Rev.Nix shows every chance I get. I love the music that comes from these simple instruments. From diddley bows to lowdows. I hope you find another way to get your podcasts out. Keep The Faith.
hey joker...no matter what, you are great at putting together the music, and i wouldnt get offended at the lack of downloads or recent listening...i know that i first heard christian beshore and hollowbelly because oF YOU and they blew my mind...i think what you and NIX man are doing is sooooooo important, even if it isnt ON fire all the time.....your punk blues episode is the best. and you know, this site is growing daily, and people coming here need that resource--like me..who knew very little about the music youre playing..and the shows inspired me to get my ass in gear and gritty...im glad it was there when i had enough time to check it out...

i dont visit this site everyday...i barely get to keep on top of my own stuff-- three kids, a wife who is constantly inventing new things for me to do (in the midst of a total bathroom remodel right now and i dont know shit about plumbing, but...im learning),.....but there is like a day every two weeks or so where i spend a lot of time here...just quietly checking out stuff...new builds, music, ideas, new people, etc...

as a person trying to promote my own stuff, i know what its like to be excited and amped about something you created, and then the response just seems minimal or half assed......never let that discourage you, time will bare it all out...i just started getting some positive feedback, and ive been recording/playing/ fucking up tunes for twenty years...I HAVE to do it, so i do...
and there is no reason you cant set up your archives on a blog at blogspot.com, wordpress or something...like i said, it NEEDS TO be available. it rocks and its valuable. olds. .
Joker, you have to keep on pushing it bro, Without the few that are dedicated to the cause like you, Shane and the rev, the many people out there that have never experienced the CBG movement may never now of its exsistance !
We need Generals like ya'll to push the troops out into the publics eye so that all can enjoy this great music.
So brother keep strong and drive the fight!
Without people like ya'll showing me a simple build it yourself cbg, after my finger lose I had just about gave up on playing guitar again, now after finding cbg's I play allmost dailly!
I love you guys, so thats my ramblings on it!
Thanks for the support guys. I never really minded the lack of traffic on the podcasts, I figured one day they would come into thier own. It's the hosting sites that peave me. I would be fine with the episodes just sitting there waiting for folks to stumble across them, the way most of us found cbgs in the first place. My first hosting site (podbean.com) had a major server crash and lost everything. i was paying a yearly fee for that one which made the loss worse. As my finances took a turn for the worst I could not justify the cost, so I rebuilt the podcast at mypodcast.com. Now I am learning the reason it's free, they want traffic for their ads, no traffic=no podcast.

So thanks to Shane it looks like it will stay alive. I think I am going to revert back to themed shows, seems like I got alot of submissions from folks when they had a theme to record a song for.

And sleeper, I am only an electrician so I don't know much about plumbing, but I have learned a thing or two about it over the years- cold is on the right, hot is on the left, and shit rolls down hill!
Just found read about this in Cigar Box Guitars.... Was very excited, only to find it no longer available. Bummer!!

While excited to try and build a few, for me it's more about the music!

Tom, all if the podcast episodes have been archived at archive.org. Just go there and search joker cigar box guitar podcast and you'll find them all. Maybe someday this can be revived, but I just can't seem to find the time to keep it running. I have committed most of my time to writing music, performing and recording with my band "7 Hills Stomp"(along with my day job) and taking care of family.
Hope you can find the archived shows. Enjoy!

I see 5 episodes, is that correct?

Should be about 19 I think
