Hi Nigel,
Unfortunately the brewery have picked this weekend to do some renovation work in the cellar so Roy & Shaz decided to postpone the Market Drayton festival until 17&18th September. It'll be at the Lord Hill on Shrewsbury Road in Market Drayton on that weekend. There's loads of space available for folks to play or set up stalls or anything. Stall spots are free, just let them know in advance so they know how many to expect, turn up and set up. They're there from 9am so they say folks are welcome to set up whenever they like, yet again just let them know in advance so they can make sure the door's open.

Just want to say thank you for arranging yesterdays live stream to StumbleCol. I managed to cast the whole event to my TV except for an hour or so when the meds knocked me out and I had to sleep. Really enjoyed it all and on the big screen it felt really immersive. I couldn't tell how many came to the event. Was it a big turn out? Thanks again StumbleCol. Awesome job done.

Upton Blues Festival this weekend..I'm running the music at The White Lion Hotel, with Tony Stokes of '58 DeLuxe. From 12.30 pm on Saturday there will be the famous White Lion Open Mic & Jam..all day. If you want to play, just turn up and we'll try and fit everyone in...if you want to listen and get a seat, I advise turning up early, because its always popular. 

The landlord Jon always puts on a splendid selection of real ales and ciders, and some delicious and reasonably priced food. In the evening kicking off around 8.30pm, Chickenbone John and Lil' Dave Smith will be opening for '58 DeLuxe, and we'll doubtless be be rocking past midnight. 

On Sunday we have a fantastic line-up :12.30pm my band Chickenbone Blues, 1.30pm Jim Crawford - an amazing singer, guitarist and slide guitar player - if you like slide guitar DO NOT MISS this! 2.30pm John Dentons' Blues Raiders, and to finish off the afternoon, I'm pleased to announce the triumphant return of Dave David Bristow and his Foregate Steeet Blues Band. Last year they were the highlight of the weekend, so don't miss them! I'll also have selection of cigar box guitars, books, slides and accessories on sale.

Oh that was to be expected. I think the build time overshoot caused the camera girl to have to leave and left the editing guy holding the camera so there was no practical way to get the editing done on time and caused the setback in posting the series.

I would have used two mics in the shoot, the omni in the room and a directional one on the camera in left and right sterio and edited down to mono in production depending on which one had best results. Simple setup simple to edit in real time to, just a slider.

It was good watching them build.
