Addblocker Vs Youtube= wonderful things.

First I’d like to point out I’m on a mac. Hope this works the same on Windows.

I do some research. I use the internet quite a bit for this. Including youtube. Youtube loves to automatically decide what channels I’d be interested in. Needless to say they get it wrong. Really wrong. I end up with suggested channels featuring videos on how the world is flat. The sky is fake. How aliens built the pyramids. You get the point. So one day I right clicked on a video. The option to use addbocker came up. So I tried it. No more video!!!!!!! In fact, no move videos by that channel. Sweet. So I tried it again. I worked again! So the next time I get “Hitler used alien technology” I can right click on it. Click a few buttons and watch it disappear.

I’ve blocked medical channels. Channels featuring people dying or getting seriously injured. Thing I really don’t want to see.

If you use youtube and end up with suggested channels you really don’t want try it. So far it’s worked great for me. You do have to be careful. If you choose to block the channel’s name. All channel names will get blocked. I’ve done that already. All you have to do is go into Addblocker and undo it. It’s never blocked channel advertisement. Like the CB Gitty stuff here. It will only block third party cookies and windows. Great for those annoying sites that use auto play with sound.

My second biggest gripe was the auto sound adds. You'd click on a page. Start reading or watching a vid. Then out of nowhere this super loud advertisement. There has been times where two of these soundies would come on at the same time. An add blocking program stopped that from happening.

Not to mention those auto-playing video ads and such take more bandwidth than the page you want, so it takes forever to open what should just be a pic with a decent text article.

Bummer Wayfinder. I wouldn't email him back and praise the adblocking program you use. He'd probable ban your IP from the site. Personally I don't mind side bar adds. As long as they are quite. : ) But pop up adds or the ones that hide behind your open window are annoying. Be cool if you could find a better on line comic site.

Just found another great use for this program on Youtube. I did a search and ended up clicking on a vid that had what I was looking for in it's tittle, Tuned out to be some kid playing a video game Blocked it! Now hopefully I'll never get anything from his channel again. It felt so good.

Just looking up the latest on our north and south magnetic poles. ( incase you don't already know, they are switching positions ) DO NOT go to youtube for this. Go to Nasa. Best to stay away from stupid people. And of course youtube pics fear mongrels, conspiracy and the usual ill-informed videos for me. I love this AD blocking program.

It's really unfortunate. There are people who go out of their way to create fear. I watched a youtube vid on how the sun shuts itself off. With all the 'scientific' proof. The guy actually went to places like Nasa. Then altered the data. This sounds stupid to us. But there are people out there who take this stuff seriously. There is a reason why Ben Franklin set up the worlds first public library. And a reason why our forefathers worked hard to get education set up in early America. Freedom takes education.
