Someone Suggested Scissors as peg / "Ferrule Reamers" These work. there is an arch in the blade that should ... ??? be straightened out. ... STRAIGHT?

Stew-mac makes a fretting caul to be used in a drill press... http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Fretting_supplies/Pressing/Fret_Press_C...

haven't used it, but have used a piece of hardwood as a caul and it works oK... I prefer the exercise of hammering them it.... ;-)

Chris: My drill press works great for pressing frets. I laminated a 3/8" bolt between two pieces of 1/2" oak using epoxy (2" x 2"); tighten the bolt in the drill chuck; align the fret stock (after it's cut to length); press it into the neck; and, voila a fretted neck.

Its not a special tool but I just got a new drill press from Lowes, its a free standing model by Porter Cable. I'm giving it a good review so far. Its priced at $299, not bad for a full sized drill press. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the table, its rounded and has slots for hold down devices but no holes drilled all the way thru, but it does tilt and go up and down so its OK. I would like to make or buy a table with an adjustable fence on it, more set up for wood working, any suggestions here? As for the Porter Cable drill press I recommend it
