It is oak, I did a little burn on it with a propane torch, then put some stain on it that I had laying around, then put some oil and some paste wax on it. Seems like a lot but was quick.

When I first got the pick-up done I was holding above the strings just testing it on a different guitar, and I couldn't stop lol

I like a natural finish on the neck when I play, so I thought I would try it out, this is the first one I have used it on. My other ones I just used boiled linseed oil on them, then I use a fretboard oil on well, the fretboard lol
