Thanks Rick, not a humbucker  but you can control a piezo rod with little effort.

Sometimes a disk is the only way John , but for me a last resort.

Well, as hard of hear as I am - I am not the best judge.  But to me, some piezos have a really good sound.  I think shielding or sandwiching or just plain good luck are the keys.

Thanks John, with all the talk around here about tone and pickups thought I would post a $4.00 set up and half the cost is the input which every pickup needs. So if anyone can post a better sounding pickup for $2.00 I want to hear it. The piezo rod doesn't have the feeback issue a disk does and you can mount them in a similar way.

That was a good, clean and raunchy ride.  I have to say, the bass added a lot to the good git playing.
