Thanks John, I found Guy's music through Townes music and his story. Kinda put me on a Texas songwriter trip i'm still on.

Thanks Unc, from what I've read  poetry was a big inspiration to Guy. He was a big Dylan Thomas fan and in the song Cold Dog Soup he wrote  about his favorites  like Tom Waits, Townes, William Butler Yeats,

Ginsberg and Kearouac Shootin' dice playin' Ramblin' Jack's guitar With the cowboy paintin' pickguard on it

I think Randall Knife is my favortie

I love this song.   I wore out a Jerry Jeff Walker cassette tape that had this one.  Great photos too.  You make this sound very real and heart felt.

One of Guy's songs I have done is his great 'Stuff That Works.'   One of my Pandora radio channels is Guy Clark.
