Yeah Derek, I always felt like the strings were "backwards' on lap dulcimers and I'm still a lot more comfortable on strummer types where the high string is where it's supposed to be. For motivation watch Cyndi Lauper doing Time After Time on lap dulci. Or watch Bing Futch playing blues and just about anything on one.

Enjoyable as always Jim!

I had a friend years ago that had an old time wooden cider press and we used to make apple cider every fall, it was a lot of fun with some nice benefits :-)

I like the sound and the history of them. I switched the bass strings to the left on 2 of them and have one tuned in G and one in F. Just need motivated ;)

Thanks Derek. I played dulcimer before getting into CBG's. I was happy to find that both often use 1-5-1 tuning. The dulci just has less frets to worry with. I sell a lot of this type instrument but I need the discipline to sit down and write out a tab book for them since many folks who purchase them don't know how to play.

Sounding great as always Jim! I've got dulcimers but not the discipline to play a proper tune. You can play anything!

"Cindy", another one of my favourites, I could nearly taste the Cider from here!, the Cider Aisles in our local & rather large Liquor Barn are about the same size as the Beer Aisles.
