I think I'll shoot a cool bowl that just might be the one. Nice shape, flat back, beautiful wood. Soon friend.

I know what you mean Vinnie. I'll need to do some revisions on the Rocket for installation of a hum bucket, but that's not a problem other than cutting an access panel where the end pin Jack is. I'll make a hole about 2 inches so I can get ar the peizo to remove it. I'll prolly need to cut a hole in the top for the bucker. Maybe not if I use a Flatpup. They're pricy but work good do you have a favorite bucker? Do you want volume and tone controls onboard? I like the deep notches too. I like the way they look. I tried to take photos today of all the banjos. That went fine but my idiot computer would not let me access my mail so I could'nt get them on Nation. I have to reshoot with my iPad to send them from that set. It's working fine. Sounds like you like the rocket. Maybe you don't need to see more? Let me know. I'll investigate my pickup options and let you know what I find.

That is just ultimate koolsville, man...I like the flatback more than the round back ,but the headstock is just so boss on this one..Could you put a hummer in it? I also like the deep notches.I pluck like I'm diggin a ditch,So when I get a guitty that has em barely on the nut i have to groove em out or i will pop em out when I play.

I work my way down a little at a time. I like the deep notches. Sometimes I leave the nut high for lap steel. Sometimes I leave it a little high for finger and slide play like Ratty. For all finger picking I like it as low as possible. Then it's easy to finger and won't be sharp on the fist two frets. If I go too low, I sand off my notches and glue on more wood and do it again. :^).

Good reason.  I come from the spot of having a hard time getting good low action with my wood nuts.  Sometimes I get it and sometimes I have to start over.

I seem to have better luck with a regular nut. My zero frets didn't,t work quite right for me. The action was just a little too low. This one looks a little deep notched. That's cause my first nut was too low and I added more wood and notched it deep. It's close to just right now. Still pulling a little sharp on my third string when I fret the second fret. One more filing and she'll be good. I love my Teisco zero fret electric guits, they play so easy, but I'll stick with regular nuts for now.
