Thanks Fomhorach. There's actually a couple of reasons it's that way. First, I have a couple of OCD guitar-player kids and the tuners have to turn the "right" way! :-) Second, I use a zero fret, so the "nut" is actually more of a string tree/spacer. Just keeps everything lined up.

Just a small point, if you wind the string around the "outside tuners" the other way then they will be more parallel and produce less wear on the nut.

Thanks Grandpa! The image is inkjet on wax paper transfer. My printer likes to ruin about 3 out of 4 lately. Trying my hand at screen printing next!

I like the way the edges and corners look after sanding...worn, distressed. Nice looking joints, too. Didn't I read earlier (another thread?) that you decorate the box using thermal transfer?

Nice looking git, but if you ask me, that work bench in pic # 3 looks alittle too neat....LOL
