hello all. my name is Dave Schmittle, Stogie Guitars. I've been building since 2008. as of late I have'nt built more than a couple a year. (I have 4 kids, no real time) but I make time when I can.
I was just wondering what area you guys are from? I'm from Sonora, about an hour from Yosemite. I've met Mike Doyle, Doyle Guitars, in October.(Real nice guy) Just wondering about you all?

Not far away!  San Carlos, near Grossmont College...  Navajo and 125!

I'm in Stockton. I'm going to visit Sonora in a couple of weeks. Do you have a guitar shop in Sonora? I'm a player/singer, not a builder.

Chiming in from Moorpark, Just north of LA. Excited to hear from some other local builders / players. I've got a half dozen builds out in the world so far, but I've got another 8 on the bench right now. Would love a chance to meet up and see how someone else makes theirs, so far, everything I've done has been guided by youtube and these forums.

I'm in the Sacramento area.  I built one CBG.  I am working on a CBG bass now.

Hi all id like to join this group of cool cats and also introduce myself. Im just recently moved here from colorado. I live in the central valley. Hanford to be exact. I love building CBG's   and anything that has to do with em.  Been having fun since Ive been back becuae a great friend of mine has a Son who has a band who plays cbg type music and has been coming over to learn how to build. And I get to listen to him play so its a sweet time for both of us.  Id love to get out there and meet some of you folks or get to some get togethers. there really wasnt much going on in colorado group wise.  If htere are any beginners out there that are close by and want some help I may be able to . Im no pro.  but I love to help.  well thats me im the 14 buck bass, the little fish in the fish bowl in the big ocean of cbg heavys. but my friends call me antonio.  so feel free to call me antonio.  Peace. !

I'm in SLO county.

Built a pile of canjos, gave 'em away.  also a couple kalimbas, which are fun.

Breaking down a few pallets, now, to begin new projects... a soprano cuke, also a mod to a horrid travel guitar into an alto uke. Need to make more bicycle spoke kalimbas !  :-) rc

I'm in Nipomo, San Luis Obispo County. Building since Sept 2016, got 5 of the addicting devils under my belt.

John here from Sawyer Cigar Box Guitars...

San Diego!  (San Carlos)  Who's close?

Hello All, I'm a newbie from Bakersfield. I have built one Diddliey Bow for my son for Christmas. I have the bug now. Starting to build a three string very soon. I am collecting my material and supplies. I have a very nice CATCH 22 box I want to use as my first build. Then I want to move on to a Brick house (Black and Gold). I have been watching vids on YouTube from Sean Speal, Del Puckett, and Some "funky chicken British guy...LOL. Just cant remember his name right now. I thick I may go with a simple Piezo set up. If anyone is close by, let me know. I sure wouldn't mine a little of your knowledge thrown my way.

Have a Blessed Christmas.

Hey finally someone close to me! I'm just over the grapevine from you in Santa Clarita

Hi all, new here in Sacramento area. I have met, and shared good times with Will King who, to my good fortune, lives less than 2 miles from me. I have one almost completed, and 3 more in process.

Mike
