Uncle John,

I'm just now getting started in the CBG world.  I decided to go with a kit for my first build.  It should be here this week.  I've been playing guitar for 2 years now.  I do have a musical background having played sax and trumpet in high school.  Have a blessed week....and thanks for accepting me as a friend.  BTW, I did 20 years in the Navy and retired honorably.

For the fret positions I use a wood burner that I bought for $10.99 on Amazon.  For the scale I use dimensional sticker that I bought at the grocery store.  Improvisation is the heart of the CBG, or so I believe.

As for the red wall, we simply wanted to do something different.  I like it.

Thanks again Uncle John,I suffered a great trauma with that back,stuck the map on then picked up the wrong spray can,sprayed it with black gloss instead of the clear lacquer.Amazed how well it has turned out.

I like the tone of my Mcnally Grand starumstick..but it's frustrating to play as it just won't stay in one place. I have to kind of tuck one corner of the body under my belt!

It sounds better than my McNally Strumsticks, which I attribute mainly to the design and the mahogany top. Plus I can play it like a guitar and not on my lap.This tune was D-A-DD. I just used it on a new tune along with my new Gretsch resonator. There, I had it tunes D-A-CC. Stop by if you have a chance. It's not really appropriate to post on this site I don't think.
