Thanks for checkin' out my stuff dave. The mt. dulcimer does sound good..but I struggle to get it in tune with those classic friction tuners. I used it on the song "Whistlepig" on my page. I have a D&G McNally also. I like the long d best by far. I'm just learning my way on this site and also with the diatonic scale instruments. I'm basically a guitarist. Here is a link to a song on my website that I used the Merlin on with a new Gretsch resonator as well.

Thanks Dave. I'm having fun getting to know the Merlin and recording with it. You've sure done some nice builds!

You are a lucky Man to have that many to chose from, i know i alway's have my REGAL to fall back on , i still like it better then some of the Nationals i played, but then i made my own copper resonater and have not found one yet that haz a sweet sustain like that one, thats why we keep on trying i ges to find that unheard sound.

This is the current state of affairs ,not that fast a worker as most of you Vetaran CBG's builders, there is life to live and other affairs, but i ame getting there, your last post on the rezzo looks swell, the real deal, does it sound just as good as one of your restored Dobro's ? Greeeettszz A.D.

Thanks Dave - I'm not brave enough to free hand it  - yet ;-). If the table saw gives out, I'll remember - band saw, belt sander.

Into reso's now and like maaking my own the tri-cones are made from soup cans, the others are from #10 cans I get from resturaunts and just beat the crap out of 'em. The bass neck is spalted maple cut behind my work shop, left on the ground to splat about a year.

Dave that tool box was a 2.00 estate sale purchase. Think from the 50's really thick steel and heavy. the ww emble is an automotive thing I think found on the side of the road while working. The cello was a second effort, original was a rectangle box, couldn't play to outer strings without the box getting in the way. Better now sounds nice made for my oldest daughter. The beast went to Smilingdog here on the nation.

Thanks Dave, I like to think my knobs are over the top! When I searched the web for something like I am now making, I just thought "why do knobs need to be so dull?" I decided they didn't have to be, hence these. I know there are some good looking turned wood, abalone and metal types available, but nothing really grabbed me. I think of these as small art objects, albeit functional ones. Who needs 'one to ten' on a guitar knob!?
