Uncle John, I totally agree with you on the tail piece. It can't be seen in the photo because of the glare but I did sand through the brass plating and allowed layers of silver and copper to show through. I also sanded down the tops of the ferrells to show wear. Hopefully the exposed metal will age with time.

I like the guitar and the art.  I like the way the guitar looks much played.  The one thing I would change would be to burnish/age that pretty tail piece.
