Sorry, but LOL on the black instead of stickem' and the great trauma. Sounds like my work and mess ups!
I am just in from the shop working to improve 3 gits, which pretty much amounts to fixing screw-ups and oversights! But it feels good to be improving them.
Thanks Michael, I thought that might be the case with the sound hole. Thanks for the comment on my reso. Needs a little fox right now. Developed a string buzz at the bridge. I think the tail piece straightened out a bit.

Than you, I love the license plate gits. You've inspired me to put one on deck. I've got some old license plates that belonged to my granddaddy dating back to 1957.
Thanks again Michael. To answer your question, I am a wine and spirits expert for a living so there isn't much creativity involved in my day job. Just need a good memory! I picked up woodwork 3 years ago. A CBG was the first thing I made and I just picked up the skills along the way. The internet is a great teacher!
Thanks for the feedback Michael. I'm pretty happy with this. Probably the most fun build Ive ever done. Did you think I was stepping on your toes with the headstock? :-)
I actually finished the solid body yesterday. I'll have some pictures up later I think. The headstock design is similar, but I wouldn't call it the same. Also, if you're wanting to make solid body, get a router if you don't have one already! :-)
Hi Michael, re action - a lot depends on playing style; when enthusiasm kicks in (inevitably will at times) accuracy slips. Who cares? you might say - a few 'fret-knocks' add authenticity. There again, too many & it gets annoying. In the "slide-learning-phase" I vote for a slightly higher than normal action; beyond that it's like everything else in music - what works best for you as a player. PS I've always lowered the action on every acoustic I evber bought...
Take care
M
Ah I see about the piezos now. They look really neat. My ethos so far along with my brother has been; what happens in the box, stays in the box. I haven't quite mastered the skill of keeping them tidy looking inside yet, still they work well.
Your builds are amazing by the way, you've got some real skills there.
Ha ha, I've got a few boxes to be getting on with here for a while so don't fret too much about that.
So I'm obviously a Dinosaur too - went and published a status instead of responding to your comment. Wood's much easier to see what you're doing with...
