Been a builder of knock off electrics since 200 but just getting into CBG's 

In my responsible real life i was a handel crankin machinest,untill cnc came alone and i dident keep up,so i took wat skills i had and started building

Hey y'all, I have been on CBN for a week or so now but haven't introduced myself.  I am thoroughly obsessed with cigar box guitars as of now. Part of my job is actually making stuff and I even have a blog where I show off some of my work. I have always thought building an instrument would be cool but never got around to doing it until recently.

My wife wanted to do something different for Christmas this year that would make memories rather than collect dust. So I decided I would make instruments for all my kids who still live at home so we can make music together. I have cranked out a couple of CBG's so far so that I could get most of the normal rookie mistakes out of the way before making the instruments for the fam. Now I think I know what I am doing enough to turn out some nice builds. 

For my son, I am building a 4 string mountain dulcimer that he can take with him as a camp counselor next summer.

For my 10 year old daughter, I am making a CBUkulele that she can use when her music instructor teaches her class how to play after the first of the year.

For my 7 year old, I am going to make a 1 stringer with a 22 inch scale length so she can grow into it. 

I really want to head up the Cigar Box revolution in Utah and hopefully eventually put together a Cigar Box Festival this summer or next. 

I look forward to learning from all of you.
