I figured that out, 126, and then tried it again this morning.  A nice and of course, deeper tone than DGBE.   Another option and sure to suit some folks.   I've been playing DGB so long and DGBE for a while - I think I will remember EADG, but stick to the higher 4 strings.  Thanks.

Hey Unc, I often tune fretted 4 stringers in EADG because if you play 6 string in standard then you already have some familiarity with chord formations that will work (barre and partial). This is sometimes easier for "real" guitar players to adjust to. It's fun because you can already play everything you already know on a 6'er

How do you like the EADG?   I play a lot of the other, but have not tried the low 4.  I just messed on a six string to get an idea of what it would be like.  Is there a particular key it seems good for?
