Comment by David McQueen on March 31, 2015 at 2:50pm: Pick, you would not believe the changes in Barrie in the last 15 years. I came in '98 and the population was about 70000. It is up around 145000 now. The house I live in was a cow pasture then. In keeping with the venue, we have gone from country to uptown Chicago blues here.... But never fear, we still have our Barrie Hill Billies :-) I may even be one of them.

So far they have Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Cabella"s, LA Fitness and a bunch of others. They had Target, but that went south. So did Future Shop. My son went to the last concert held at Molson Park. It was a great venue .. But apparently time has marched on in Barrien... who knew.

About a foot and a half of snow in my back yard. Supposed to be 16 degrees on Thursday. I am waiting to order supplies etc. I was laid up last year and can't wait for some decent weather to get making again. BTW I am in Barrie ON.
