Howdy Cap/n,

Welcome to our little corner of the Internet and thank you for your service to your country.

Do you have a preference for 3 or 4 strings, and fretted or fretless for slide?

Sir,

I would thing 4 string and fretless would be really cool.  I did not see any of those.  What would be the tuning for a 4 string?  is it an open tuning or the bottom four strings of a guitar.

Bill, you can basically put any strings you wanted to on it, and tune it a variety of ways. It depends on how you want to play it.

You could go with EADG, or DGBe, or DGBd, whatever floats your boat.

I am assuming you have an amp?
