When I found this site I thought I would build one or two guitars and move on to something else. But, I've seen some wildly creative instruments on this site that have provided me with a constant source of inspiration. Now I'm 30 instruments in and still going strong.

I think it would be fun to post pictures of the builds the we're the most proud of.

Don't feel limited to guitars. I've seen some homemade jigs, tools, drum kicks, and lots of other things that're both artistic and marvels of backyard engineering.

So lets each post one pick that's the best of what we've designed and built.

Nice.

I'm always on the look out for a washboard.

This one has gotten the most couch picking time at the moment. Great sound for an acoustic.

Zach, hover your mouse over the symbol next to link - image- click on it and you can post here so we can easily see it.

On some machines, all of the controls are not visible. I cannot do anything but an attachment when on my iPad. Could be a Flash thing.

you can do it with html if you have the link to where its hosted in the clipboard ;)

well I'm gonna point you newbs to some guys who don't show up around here so much anymore, scott Winburn and Nate King  guys honestly theres a wealth of inspiration on this site if you dig deep enough :)

this is my favourite thAts still in my possession, I tend to give away/sell my favourites all the time tho, that s what keeps you building em ;)

Like that ! What's the reso cover ?

I guess my #1 FAV would have to be the first one I built. As you can see it is a Padron box.. It has a 25.5/8 scale. The neck is mounted by 1/4-20 hanger bolt that is accessed by that black panel held on w/4 screws you see on the back. The neck is a sandwich of 2 pieces of 1/2" poplar, w/walnut 1/2' as the middle. It has an Indian Rosewood fretboard with MOP and Turquoise at the 12th and the side fretmarkers.C.B. Gitty strings and open gear tuners. That tailpiece is a Walnut drawer pull I have had for years, just waiting for the right thing to come along. Has bone for nut and bridge. Neck has a 2 degree crosscut so as to get string downward tension and more string break and  bridge height to give it more pick room, 12 degree back break on headstock.I learned that little tidbit compliments of some of the fine folks here on CB Nation. She sings clear with a long sustain. It is the only acoustic I have. The rest are acoustic electric, some with preamps and EQ'S. so this has a special place in my heart.

Nice! Looks like her name could be Long Tall Sally!

My  "Faux-Bro", my 2nd build is still my favorite...although at this point I should take the top and bottom strings off cause I'm constantly picking up my 4 string CBG'S instead !! Brass by Old Lowe, Box by Smith & Wesson and neck by Peavey.
