The wood that I use on the fret boards I get at a Hard Wood Shop in Springfield Missouri - I just wander in there from time to time and if I see something that I think would be good for a fret board I pick it up. I'm currently working on a CBG that has lacewood for a fret board.

besides...dey is SNAKEs out there in the early morn...but yes.... soon i will have to get fancier with my mug shots and do them before i have another half dozen built... i'm not speedy, but i am a hermit and there is nothing i'd rather be doing than this ... hanging out and having laughs and good food with my favorite people is probably the only thing that would top it !! zandi z.

I remember I have some lap steel fretboards for Germany I bought on ebay about 5 years ago that would be great for this, so I have a lot of the parts already to go. What tuning do you prefer? I ask because C6 takes a whole different kind of string set than open E, D, or G. I play in C6 and open E mostly, eexcept on my Daddy mojo 5 string which I play on my lap like you, in open G. I would love to make you one, and of course, since the powerball has eluded me, it may take a while, but it will now be my mission. I'll even make you one with adjustable legs on it if you like. I bought a cheap one on ebay a long time ago just for the legs and I knew one day it would have a purpose. Of course, I'll make the legs removable. By the way, and I don't mean to make fun, but I cannot stop watching your Father Time video, just for the falling back on the bed scene. CRACKS ME UP!
