Hi all. On my fifth model,previously piezo pickups. This one magnetic, using a pre- wired 6 string single coil pickup harness from CB Gitty. I have spent an hour looking through the forums but keep getting side tracked by other peoples builds!? A simple question I'm sure, how far should the strings be away from the pickup?

@Cameron Brown
If it were me, I would built the circuit. My problem is I don't know how (I would have to enlist the help of a Luthier/Amp Builder friend of mine).

If you can follow a schematic, they are all over Google Images when searching for, "Reverb Circuit".  I also found this to be a good resource: http://www.cigarboxnation.com/group/amps/forum/topics/best-mini-amp...

It sounds like some of these kits already have the reverb circuit built in.

I'm going to build an amp into my box. Been done before. But I want to add reverb to the kit I'm using. What would be the best way? Just get a cheap reverb pedal and cannibalize it or build a circuit? Or is there a circuit I can buy?

Hi,
I'm on my ipad so unable to easily add the photo. Here is a link for one pickup, one volume and one tone
http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/support/schematics/1singlecoil_...

If you are 100% sure you want both pickups on all the time just twist both hot wires together (central plastic covered wire) and solder together to the first lug on the volume pot - as shown in the diagram by the white wire from the pickup.

Twist both ground wires together (the numerous bare wires around the central plastic covered wire) and these are soldered to the back of the volume pot - as shown in the diagram by the black wire from the pickup.

The rest of the wiring is as per the diagram. Rub the back of the pots with abrasive paper or a file so you get a good contact for the solder.

Hi Hoochbobble,

A suggestion would to use a volume pot for each pickup, with a shared tone pot. This eliminates the 3 way toggle switch, and still allows to use one, the other, or both pickups by use of their respective volume pots.

To stabilize, consider creating a wooden disc that includes wooden dowel at bottom center.

Comment by Scott aka Farmer Ted on December 18, 2014 at 9:11pm

Then Goole for the item called Lowezo piezo biscuit bridge. The image shows what you need. A piezo disc sandwiched beteeen two circular discs of wood, with the wires running directly downward through the center of disc, continue through hole in center of the lowe cone, to confrols if using them, then to jack.

Hey I thank you for your quick response Scott but unfortunately none of his pics show me what I need to know. I looked at his Facebook page as well but that was no help either but man I can say he has some beautiful stuff both places!!!!!!  He is an extremely talented guy!!!!

Bridges specially made for the cone reso you have are available through Randy Bretz at Mojo Boneworks...he is a member of CBN.
