Hi guys.. I am interested in purchasing my first CBG but I am a little overwhelmed with all the information available out there.  I was hoping for some direction.  I play guitar already and am really looking for a playable CBG, not just something to hang up on the wall to look nice.  I am pretty sure I want to go with a 3 string fretted CBG with some kind of pickup.   Is ebay the place to go to buy one of these or are there specific builders I should contact? I would ideally like to keep it under 150 bucks if possible, is this reasonable?  What are some things I should look for in a CBG if pictures are the only thing available?   Any other advice you would give a total noob?

Tiny Guitars has a ton ov vids on his site! He also has a few under $100 on E Bay right now. I would check him out!!!!!!!! However they are all 4 strings, but just a thought!!!!!!!
Jay at Tinyguitars even has some banjo dulcimers up right now for only $40.00 cookie tin body. Look in the videos it's onbe of the newer videos then look at the older ones and you will see the $65.00 punch four string guitars.
looks like tinyguitars is all out of those 'production line' CBGs

Enjoy.
here are a couple of other cool builders to check out Mike Snowden and Secondhand CBG's (Jamie) is a member of the Nation and you can just google Mike - more good choices. Take care - Jim
Buy mine. More traditional than fancy, but they're players.

LOL

thanks everyone for the advice and warm welcome... I sent tinyguitars a message and ordered the last of his production line CBG. I can't wait to get it and will most definitely be doing some recordings with it which I hope to share here.
