Thanks, Danny.   Who was it that said, "I ain't no role model.?    I love to build and can do pretty well if I set my mind to it.   Not a top builder, but sometimes pretty decent.   What I really like doing is slapping a fretless relic together and not worrying about making things pretty.

The nut was salvaged from some old guitar.  I have a box of spare parts and should order some Corian nuts.  

Yeah, U.C.  a lot of mine have one or more backward tuners and I don't mind them.  This being a commission build, I was hoping to avoid that.   It's not perfect, but the guy will be getting a good deal.

Thanks, U.C.   Thanks, Duck.  Plays good, sounds good. 

There's always something I wish was better.   Here it's that the big string is wound from the outside of the tuner so that one tuner turns backward.   And I had to use string guides to stop string buzz.   I wish now that I had used a screw or bolt for the the nut (instead of the black Corian-like stuff) and then maybe the string guides would not be needed.
