Thanks John!  One thing to point out on this one: that fret adjacent to the nut.  I planned to cut a notch for a brass bolt nut, but ended up cutting too deep about 3/16" from the true nut location.  SO I just cut the fretboard off at 'zero' and decided to use a bone nut.  Still there was that errant slot cut with my kerfing saw....  I thought about filling it in, then decided to use a scrap piece of gold fretwire instead.  It's 'out of play' in that the strings are above it, so it doesn't affect the musical ability of the gitty.  I'm guessing it might cause some conversation about "what the heck is that stray fret doing up by the nut?"   ;-)

Thanks Uncle John - I think you suggested a bridge upgrade on my #3 a few months back!  I do want to raise this one's action to make it more playable with a slide.  Try to hit that compromise....

Nothing wrong with an eye bolt bridge, but yeah, this one is so fine an upgrade will take it to the high 9s,

Thanks Wes!  I'll likely upgrade the bridge, but my eagerness to string it up outweighs my patience in most cases!  This one has pretty low action, so a higher bridge should help increase it a bit.  This one's destined for my younger son, who is a damn good guitar player, so he probably wouldn't mind the lower action anyway.  I'll try to get him to post some video of him playing this baby!  (This is a simple, straightforward design, so I didn't really push any limits.  The tailstock is a change from my normal methods, crafted from a sheet of steel using a little open throat shear I have.)
