I hope you enjoy looking at 'This Train Runs on Time' a soprano cigar box uke. I was given an old and forgotten and abused cigar box which held cigars which were sold at the Railway Exchange Building in St Louis, Missouri. The box probably dates from the 1920s. The box was almost pure black with the oxidation of age, I scraped the the top, back and sides to reveal the hidden beauty. The bottom of box was warped and discolored from a liquid the had leaked and congealed several decades. The uke has a homemade piezo pickup and several coats of nitro-cellulose lacquer.

I hope to see more labors of love.

Here is baritone uke #5 that I built using a 5-inch diameter Charles Atchison aluminum resonator cone, Tone Monster passive pick up, Dan Duke maple neck, walnut fret board, Worth brown fluorocarbon strings, Shane Speal tuners, bone nut and bridge, and hardware from CB Gitty and others. I refinished the Padrón Anniversary box, carved and finished the neck and set the frets, carved the tailpiece, neck heel and the biscuit, and assembled everything using hand instruments and one small freehand drill. Scale length is 19-1/8 inch.

Neck looks good with the Olde World box

im obsessed with Rocky Patel . Boxes and Smokes .

Here is my first entry: A matching pair of soprano ukes. I made these for my friend's 4 and 5 year old sons--visiting them in Vermont this weekend and wanted to take them something fun. They're about as simple as it gets. Colored tooth picks for frets, small brass hinges for tailpieces, traditional uke pegs--scales are 13.125" and 13.625".

From the look of this tread the CBU world could give the CBG world a run for it's money.

I have other projects going so my new Uke won't be done in time but I must say "well done folk's". Is there a CBN Ukulele recording in the future. I sure would like to hear these great looking instruments. Awesome!

This is my first ever uke. 17" scale, plays like a dream... Maple fretboard on curly maple neck with cocobolo stripes. Zebrawood bridge and tailpiece and bone nut and bridge. Very proud of it... first instrument I made with a bolt on neck. I thought I would have an issue with intonation, but it set up right the first time-.

I wasn't sure whether to enter this or not, but here goes:

Acoustic, 15" (concert) scale, tapered neck, Nylgut Ukulele strings but Mandolin (5ths) tuning, but for all intents and purposes a Uke right? :)
