Yep I saw those featured in MAKE magazine. As far as I'm aware it's a crowdfunded project which has done really well. I think they're working on an acoustic version too now.

I think it's a great idea for kids and people just getting into building/playing musical instruments - could be the 'gateway' to the slippery slope of CBGs...

I think it is great!  The Loog guitars started and may remain to be sold as kits (at least the acoustic) and with the foundation of parents and children building the guitar together then learning to play music.  It is absolutely fantastic!

I imagine there is a certain population that will see this as competitive and a threat, but I think that is not the case.  Customers for Loog guitars are not likely also first-time CBG buyers.  They may, however, be in the market for a one-of-a-kind or authentic CBG later on down the line.

the loog is  old  news , they    have been around for a while  .    , and   seems to   have  it's  own  market

(similar   to production  mainstream  type guits  for  kids ) 

  it hurts   the  cbg  world as  much as a  knock off  fender  strat  would .

if anything  ..  i  think  it helps  cbg  awareness and gateways  *to  the cbg world  , not away from it  .
