One man band druming
Hey ya'll......it's been a while since i have posted, kinda took a break for a little bit. Needless to say, I still check out new vids on the internet....mostly didley bow stuff....other than that....I have big news....I have bought a drum set from the local goodwill.
All I really wanted was the floor bass, a hi-hat and pedals, and maybe a snare, but I have pretty much got a full set. It is a first act used set, kinda beat up, but hey it works right. So, here are a few quistions.
As far as drumming and playing diddley bow or guitar at the same time, any pointers, sugetstions, tricks of the trade I should know? Also, for those who use a snare as a floor drum with a kick, I would love to see picks of your set up. Thanks for everyones help....jerryrig

i saw a guy once that used pedals for his toms and snares. im not sure how the hell he kept up that i guess he was way more talented tham me (not that thats hard)lol.

For the snare there are two ways to do it.
1. You can adjust the snare stand to sit at a right angle and hold the snare drum perpendicular to the ground.
2. You can go Johnny Lowebow on it and stick the snare in a milk crate and bungee it down.
I've come to realize that all one man band rigs are completely different from the next. Jawbone's rig is super polished and gleaming chrome, Reverend Deadeye on the other hand is a rusted out washtub and duct tape.
It's all about what you feel, and how comfortable you are. Play around with it... with a beat up kit you don't have to worry about messing anything up... you know?
