Hi Keni. I have been watching your vids for some time now and I love your style. I have built a "cookie tin" 3 string and have just purchased ypur 3 string instructional CD. Looking forward to getting it and seeing what gems I can glean.
I am a tuba player in brass bands and community concert bands and this style of music is really different to what I am used to playing but I love the freedom to experiment. God bless and keep the great stuff coming :)

Hey Keni,

Thanks for the compliments.

The mechanical tuners are called pegheds (http://www.pegheds.com/). They work really well and really add an oldtime aesthetic. But, they're not cheap. Elderly sells them for basically $20 per peg.

Mr. Keni Lee Burgess,
I've never tried to play guitar before but just picked up a 6 string electric guitar to try to learn the walking bass line before I make my own three string cigar box. I must be pretty rubish as I now have a blood blister on my thumb after two & half hours and only just getting the first four notes but with the in betweens.
I hope it gets easier on a three string (although I am making it a fretless slider).
I will add it's a great video.

keni the new one it's called cb.power- becouse delvero brouth over cigarboxes from the states all the way down here in sicily. i tuned it in many ways but the tune witch is really good it's "f". so i wanna ask u got some tabs for a FOR STRING IN F? don't know much of open tuning but i use an app called guitar tuner.the cb-power sounds very nice and warm in f, but don't know what to do for playing somthing nice.
still lisening to your lessons but its hard. i love to play harp so gotta turn into strings, and it cut a little!

99% of electricity is sourced from coal, hydroelectric, and nuclear, which all do horrendous damage to life on earth - I have to go with Old Lowe on the acoustic bit...and yes, I realize that my laptop uses electricity. That is why everything but the compact fridge is turned off at this moment.
