I never much wanted a double neck guitar.  Sorry, double neck fans, they seem too flashy and 'look at me' for an intermediate level player like me.

But.....  I use 2 tunings:   GDg and DGB.   Between the two, I can do a lot and produce different styles and tones.   But to change things up, I am too often changing guitars.

What if I made a 2 banger?   Would I feel like a pretender?  Would they/ it play well?   Would my whole life be better?

Tell u what I like unk is to angle the necks away from each other a little, so the heads are further apart than the necks are at the body join

Kid, I would have thought that angling the necks apart was a bad idea.  Then I watched your video.  Works great and looks comfy.  Crap.  More decisions.    Your MundFick double is a winner and a beauty.

Heh-heh...Kid made Unca John say "MundFick"...heh-heh

this is real nice.  it was an entry in the double build off here a couple years ago, as was mine.  thats why there was a bit of a double neck frenzy for a while. there were some awesome entries

Bew tee full work on the Gurkha doule.  The single one is pretty and different.   Bluntly stated: Neck to body connection looks weak.

Te single one there is the alternate lower neck unk, they swap out. I forgot who built it, there was a glut of nice double necks like I said

Linda heard it.  Not good.

These things must go in cycles.  I was just talking to the wife about building a double neck.  She asked what they're good for, now I can s'plane it to her.  I was thinking a 3 string diatonic/piezo  strummer over a 4 string chomatic/mag pup.

Hal,

C'mon, you can do better'n that! Double necks are for lovers, man! Just like teaching her a golf swing:

"See, honey, iffen you place your hands here, on the lower one, an' I place my hands here, on the upper one, like so, and we move like this, then, boom-chicka-wow-wow!"
