Mini Amps

Mini Amp Wall Of Sound. Clockwise from the top, left - an Ibanez IBZ 10B Bass amp, Drive G15, Yamaha HR1000, and a Gorilla GG25. I paid a total of $80 for the whole shoot and match. The biggest amp is the Yamaha, which is 14 1/2" X 14 1/2" X 6 1/2". The smallest is the Drive at 11 1/2" wide X 8 1/2" tall X 5" deep. I'm not certain about the wattage of each, but I think the Ibanez and Yamaha are 10 watts, the Drive is 15 watts, and the gorilla is 25 watts. If anyone has any more info on any of these amps, I'd love to hear it. I can't find manuals for them or even a reference page to get the specs for them.

Comment by Mark Lindsay on April 14, 2012 at 10:57am: Ok, so that makes it 2 bass amps and 2 guitar amps. It turns out the Gorilla needs some work - needs a new input jack and Master Volume pot. Contact cleaner had no effect on that pot, but it took the hiss and scratch out of the other pots just fine. The Badaple owner really wants the Gorilla amp because there's a jack on the back for 12v DC power. I think I've talked him out of it since it needs work - once I let him know it's a bass amp, I'm sure he'll see it my way.

And no offense taken at all. I know these are cheap amps. But hey, for $20 apiece, I'm not gong to squawk too loudly.

Comment by SlowHound on April 14, 2012 at 9:53am: I have that same Gorilla amp. It's a bass amp and you're right it's 25watts. Great score on the batch. I've yet to plug a cbg into the Gorilla though.

Comment by Dan F on April 14, 2012 at 8:52am: Here's another one with little info (no schematic); Kustom KLA-15 (15 watts?) I emailed the company and even they didn't know anything except that it was probably built in the early 1990's. This one was cheap, too.
