Minglewood Blues on the Gus Cannon style banjo

This song is from Gus Cannon and the Jug Stompers. I figured it was a good one to do on this banjo built from a frying pan and a guitar neck like Gus' first ...

Yeah Shane, hopefully I'll see you in York and we'll talk. I do love getting instruments into the hands of folks who have an appreciation for what it is!

Cool Shane! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for the challenge which led me to build one I may never have built without the nudge. Plus I like this thing so much that I plan to bring it to York and maybe do something on it Fri night on the open mic stage. I just posted a Dr Ralph Stanley tribute using it.

This is the greatest thing ever!  Jim, you knocked this one out of the park!  In just a few days, you took my challenge and created one of the most authentic historical recreations of Gus' first banjo.  I bow at your awesomeness!

I'll be collecting all your photos and this video to do a proper feature for next week.

Thanks Derek. I woke up with "Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love in My Tummy" in my head so you're lucky!

Thanks Dave. To be clear, I'm not positive that's what it is, that's just what my trapper friend told me. Hearsay is inadmissable!
