Jim, had know idea that you lost a child. I couldn't even start to imagine what you've dealt with.

Jim, I had to go back and look but yeah 2-1/2 years ago. Gave me a boost of confidence when you asked to  redo that tune. Had only been playing slide for a few months at that point and was going through the ruptured disk in my neck.

One thing I didn't mention (except to one or two others) is that we lost our best dog the night before and we buried her that morning. She was with us for almost fourteen years. There's a few spots in the that tune and the one later that night where I can hear myself getting choked up. Miss that girl.

I like the title.   I like the big box git.   I always like Slowhand's music.  Sad this time....  Both the music and that a great summer is pretty much gone by. 

 

You know the movie Crossroads where the old harp playing blues  man is talking and telling his story while the kid plays blues guitar?  This somehow made me think of that.
