Thank you, one and all for the kind comments. I especially appreciate Slowhound's tip of the hat to Emmet Otter's Jugband - that's kinda what we were going for (except without Jime Henson's hand up our asses). Hehe.

The Muckland Crooners are adding a whole slew of our original tunes for the upcoming season of shows. This one is something the Captain wrote decades ago. Farmer Ted requested the lyric's, so here is an approximation: (although Mudflap never sings 'me the same way twice.)

Somethin' in the Water
By Capt. Mudflap (W. Parsons)

Well don't it seem a little bit weird -
these visions in my brain?
Normal folks act twisted and the twisted folk act sane
everyone's into something'
And it leaves me feeling strange.
It must be what your into that causes you to change.

Chorus: And they put something' in the water
That's affected all the minds of all
The local sons and daughters
come back here - best beware of what you see and hear
There's something in the water so you'd better stick to beer.

Well it took me a case of brew
Before I realized
That the sober crowd was left in awe
All gaspin' "me oh my's"
I think I've got this figured out
I guess I'll have a ball
You can't drink the water so you stick to the alcohol

(Chorus)

Well the police they put roadblocks up
On every other corner
they stopped the chick in front of me
And said that they had to warn her
When they got to me I said,
"I'm not too bad to drive"
"Ain't drank no H2O since I first arrived."

(Chorus)

I salute you Capt. Mudflap!!   Another great song by the Crooners!   I'm so envious...can't seem to find anyone to jam with around here!  Keep up the good work men!

Damn, that's fine!!!  Best tune/video in recent memory. I mean this in the highest regard when I say it but, the chorus has an Emmet Otter's jug band feel to it.  Really nice guys.
