I'm not too sure about this one. I wrote it ages ago, but left it off my EP.
I've changed the tune a couple of times since first writing it. I'm worried it maybe sounds too repetitive??....but I've noticed that if I play it while busking that people often prick their ears up and stop, so maybe it's got something....
Opinions welcome on whether it should go on my album or not?!
I recorded the sound from the amp (Roland AC33) to my Tascam DP004 instead of just using the video sound.
I think it sounds better, but not sure if I'll do that every time as it takes quite a bit longer!!

LYRICS

THE FOREST

I woke up in a forest,
there was silence all around,
no other people with me,
there was frost upon the ground

I started walking slowly,
with no energy to run,
time it had no meaning,
I just moved towards the sun

After months and months of walking,
every night and every day,
the trees came to an end,
and I heard music start to play

Inst break

Some people came to meet me,
there was food and there was wine,
I listened to the music,
and the sun began to shine

I suddenly felt tired,
but I wanted to stay,
so I laid down on the grass,
and I began to drift away

1st verse repeated

Your mastery of the looper pedal adds a unique dimension to your songs. This version is a keeper, and should be included on your next cd. Good luck with that!
