Jim. Really nice playing, as always. The banjo sounds great too and looks very smart.

Thanks guys. Hi Andy, yes its clawhammer or frailing is the other name for this style. Its a bit tricky but I'm  sort of getting the hang of it.....a few more youtube lessons needed I think. I really couldn't get the hang of banjo picking style so decided to try this one. I actualy like the sound better than the nomal picking, its got a bit more traditional old style sound to it I think.Cheers for the comment Andy, appreciate it.

Thanks John, I could never get on with banjo picking, so thought I'd try clawhammer instead. It's a bit tricky but sort of getting there. I couldn't decide if I should turn my garage into a workshop or Bar, so I turned it into both!

Guitar building on one side and playing and drinking on the other....the Mrs don't get to see me to much now!!

Oh, I love that frailing style.   Sounds great.  Like your bar area too.

Thanks Clock, we made the tone ring by stretching the drum over a section of a gas boiler flue that we hacksawed off, sounds odd but it did give it a nice tone, and made it the right size to fit in box!
