Talkin' about some slide playing on 3 string CBG

I think of myself as a pretty mediocre slide player but I've had a few questions about this so here are some thoughts and a description of how I approach sli...

Wow! that's some incredible playing Ron. That slanted bar and catching notes with slide #2 is something that would take a ton of work. Thanks for sharing that. Plus, he was using my all time favorite gold foil Teisco p/u's on an old Teisco git.

Holy Macaroni! Ron that was amazing, thank you very much! Makes me look and sound like I'm playing a Tonka toy! I assume it's regular guitar tuning, I got to try that. I'm up for the challenge. He definitely has the rights to the two slide patent. Dave Lynas, the king of three finger slide, and I will put our monkey heads together and come up with something. That will take a lot of practice to maybe get 40% to where that gut is. Always looking for that new and original sound. Before I get started, you know anyone who uses a belt sander to plat a CBG? Ha ha! Thanks again Ron!

Ron, I have a patent pending on using two slides! I have to check these guys on YouTube out, make sure I get my royalties! Ha!

Hmm Ron, I'll have to look into that. I suspect I'd be able to make a bunch of ugly sounds that way before I get it figured out. I have a friend who uses two capos at the same time for some interesting tunings and haven't tried that yet either. My old brain can only handle so much!

Hmmm. Jim, have you ever tried using TWO slides: a stubby on your pinkie, and a longer one on your ring? There's some guys out on YouTube that get some innneresting effect that way...

Cool Dave. I'm not gonna throw mine - it might break.

I'm really liking the pinkie slides. Giving me two fingers for frets and one to drag as a damper for the zingy sounds. It's a challenge to keep off the frets but worth it for pickin. I threw some porcelains Tues. at the studio. I got 5 out of 8 attempts. Been a while since last I threw them.

Thanks Jeff. My main reason for pinky slide is to free up my first 3 fingers for fret work. That's just my peculiar playing style.
