Thank you Whiteowl and Diglydog for your comments. It is a real fun time. Combining a music festival with camping allows for a nice socializing experience.

Comment by Diglydog on August 9, 2012 at 4:09am Looks like great fun - nice music !
As for singing, since me and Bill have been working on originals for the new CD, my voice has been changing as I develop more of my own approach to songs. I assume it is also changing the way I sing the old songs too.
The clamp shouldn't be a problem. It is one of those large silver type with red rubber pads. The spring is strong enough for supporting the can, but doesn't crush into the wood.
Ya, Jerry and David's collaborations are some good stuff.
Thank you everyone for your comments. Enjoy.
Comment by Uncle John on August 8, 2012 at 7:06pm Keni, be careful with the squeeze clamp on the peach can tip can! Hope you get some peachy tips.
Thanks to your and Silent for the explanation on the Grateful Dead and the fest name. I'm not a Dead Head, but would mostly like the crowd you describe.
Silent may be right on your voice too.. Like it best when you put an edge or attitude on it. For example, Steve James is a great current day blues man- but he sings a little more 'cute' than he should. Needs some edge for my ear. (I hope he never sees this!)
I was and am a fan of Jerry Garcia's music with Old & In The Way and the stuff he did with David Grisman. I also have one or two Jerry designed neck ties.
Oh! You are dressed just right for where you are. LOL. Kind of wondered before you helped me get it.
Thanks for the kind words.
Thank you Uncle John. I would enjoy the privilege to sit down with you too Sir and spin some tunes. Yes, like Silent Jim was so kind to clarify, it is a spin on the Grateful Dead's logo (Commonly called a "Stealy"). I agree, if you are not in the know, the festival name sounds quite strange. Basically, hanging out with Dead Heads is definitely A Long Strange Trip...Although, there are times when someone gets a little too drunk or is having a bad acid trip, in general it is a very friendly crowd. It is very easy to walk up to anyone and be welcome. This is my third year there. I already look forward to next year. BTW: That is a tip cup on the end of my guitar neck made out of a peach can. I used a squeeze clamp to attach it. Enjoy
Love it
