Thanks Andries. I like the way gourds sound. I found these in a thrift shop and might try a stick with a string on one of them to see how it sounds!

Thanks RTZ. Welsh, Scottish, Irish and German is what I'm aware of in the family tree. Pretty sure there's other stuff mixed in there that the old folks wouldn't talk about!

Thanks James O. Gourds make great instruments, they're light,strong,resonant and easy to work with hand tools. They look funky and cool too!
