SDL Bracing Test #1

Same guitar design, materials, strings and tuners. Most of the wood was even cut from the same sheets. Only difference is the bracing.

Comment by Jim Morris on April 6, 2016 at 1:03am: Yup, they both sound pretty good but the braced one had a more even, mellow sound. I suspect that the bracing, in addition to lending support, also acts much like a bass bar in a fiddle. The bass bar distributes lower frequencies to a wider area of the top and is crucial (along with a sound post) to achieving a good sounding fiddle.
