Yeah, crazy good time. By the way, to our feet you can see beercans of "Pietra" chastain beer which is a local brand in Corsica - and the best beer in the worlds IMO.

Nice one, Thorsten, ma man.Ah like the wee bluesy gitar, and Uke bass. A good combination for this acoustic version of  the song. Looks like you weere havin a good time too (what more can a man ask?) lol

Thank you all. Hedley, you won't have a lot of rain in Corsica (we had one or two hours in three weeks). I was camping in Scotland in 1993 and had one day rain in two weeks (nobody believed when we told back home). Karl can play a bass line perfectly for hours - and he is used to it because he plays in a blues band with three solo guitar players!

RTZ - I haven't played the Townes-songs live yet (this year I only played concerts with my band Trickster Flint where I sing and play guitars - sometimes slide-guitar, there'll be a great new album out in October). I'm trying some songs with a loop pedal at the moment. BTW, the crickets in Corsica sometimes sound like an egg shaker. So there's always percussion in your ear!

Wish you had your slide. Been meaning to ask if you can play and sing those Townes songs

Looks fun! That's what camping is all about, if only I could persuade Mrs Vinylhed that it's not all rain and creepy crawlies. I'm not sure I could play that bassline over and over without going slightly mad...Mind you, that's what I do when I'm playing tuba in my brass band.
