I have three F5's. One worth $700, one worth $2000, and one I built. Not much difference between them. The one I built stays in tune the best, and you know how that goes.

I'm gonna crack open my piggy bank and get one! Seriously, the most expensive mando I've played was a Wayne Henderson owned by a friend and even though it was in the 5 grand range it felt and sounded pretty much like many other less expensive ones I've played.

That's just because it was Bill's. They've come down a lot in the last few years. I think you can now pick one up for under $200,000. There are only 228 known ones, so better hurry.

Thanks Dave. As an artist yourself I'n sure you know that I was the model for the famous Old Dude Descending Staircase painting. I don't think Pablo ever cut off any of his own body parts, just those of his models which he delighted in attaching in unusual places. Now I have to get in my van and go.
