A short ballad I thought up for prima balalaika.

Cheers for all of your kind comments. I am deeply moved in more ways than you could ever know. The melody was my take on a Renaissance sounding theme although, all things being connected in the universe, there probably is a bit of Greek there too. The instrument is store bought, a genuine Soviet era prima balalaika that I paid 95 US dollars for, then restored (I had to repair a small active split on the soundboard and then polish it up a bit. I am teaching myself this instrument at the moment, trying to get good finger technique and good tone (the instrument has a sweet sound), though I am no where near the level that I would like to be. This instrument is tuned E-E-A, by the way. This was a simple finger exercise that I turned into a full fledged piece. I will soon be posting my arrangement of King Crimson's "Starless" (from the RED album) for this wonderful instrument. Thank you ALL again for your wonderful response to my work, from the bottom of my heart!

Gotta be Greek with a twist....ncie one mate, like the threads, but I can't see them taking off. Seem to recall the Beatles wearing something like that in the 60's though. Is this a home made instrument, you don't seem to say.

That was just lovely. Very nicely played. I think everyone should dress properly for their videos. Thorough elegance.

very good sounds like a medieval song

Sounds nice and so does the song.  My guess is Greek over Medieval.

nice...sounds sort of medieval. Is it a bought instrument?
