Rough demo of a new song, the first from my latest guitar. The tune came out while noodling in front of the fire one day, then the lyrics came later, probably partly influenced by the book I'm reading atm - Desolation Angels by Jack Kerouac.
Not sure what to call it?? Existential Blues? Existential Angst Blues?... or Living In The Moment?
I messed up the end, so faded it out... (Tried to do another take, but my voice started giving out. Fed up with bad throat!!)
When you think that the world is at your feet,
that’s when the rug is pulled away.
So I’m not waiting for tomorrow,
I will just enjoy today.
I’m living in the moment, living in the moment,
don’t know what’s around the bend.
Living in the moment, living in the moment,
I know everything must end.
I am walking down that long, long road,
got nothing better to do.
When I get to the crossroads, doesn’t matter which way I go.
When I’m sitting on the mountain,
I climbed so many times with you,
I won’t wonder what I’m doing here,
I will just enjoy the view.
